AN EXTRA HOUR IN YOUR DAY

extra hour picHave you ever said, “If I only had an extra hour each day, I could....”?

While a 25-hour day is unrealistic, we actually can create an extra hour (or more) each day by stopping one very time-consuming thing:

Worrying about things we can’t control.

Most of us probably spend more than one hour each day doing worrying.  And to what end?

In the wise words of the Dalai Lama:  “If a problem can be solved, there is no use worrying about it [take action!]. If it can’t be solved, worrying will do no good.”

Pick a day and add it up.  Notice how much time you spend worrying about:

– Money.

– What others think.

– How you measure up.

– What the weather will be.

– That upcoming presentation.

– If you forgot something.

– What to wear.

– How to change them.

– If  you got the job.

– Where she is.

– What if….?

And on and on…

It’s so automatic, you may not even notice you’re doing it (a popular time to worry is while trying to fall asleep at night).

Want an extra hour in your day tomorrow (or a better night’s sleep)?  Stop worrying about things you can’t control.
